#034 Trampers Paradise
New Zealand Landscape

The stillness and dewy magic of early morning light and the fresh unspoiledness, typical of what may be found by so many of New Zealand's bush streams and rivers. This spot, beside the Coromandel Ranges, was once a favourite stopover for bushmen and tired packhorses en route to logging camps further up in the hills.

At times, when ingenious Kauri tree dams had been released, the valley shook with the thunder of man made torrents hurling enormous logs down to coastal Tairua.

Today, peace reigns. The River runs clear and cool. Though the Kauri giants have gone, the bush is regenerating…
- unspoilt once more.
